26, 2008. shepcon Guest I'm running SBS 2003 Premium w/sp2 (not R2). A few weeks back, we were hit by the tornado that came through Atlanta and the server http://www.winvistatips.com/threads/ntfrs-13552-and-13555-erorrs-on-sbs-2003-following-tornado.664386/ sustained a shutdown due to power events that overwhelmed our APC UPS. Following https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/27717428/SBS-2003-Event-IDs-13552-13555.html the event, I'm now getting several NTFRS 13552 and 13555 errors in my SBS event log. The FRS error status is FrsErrorMismatchedJournalId. I've done a good bit of research on these errors, but I'd like to get some feedback from the SBS gang to correct the issue. Currently, the FRS service will start, but it frs error will post these errors in the event log. The SYSVOL and NETLOGON shares are functioning properly and the users can login just fine on the network. Also, my SBS Group Policies are working fine. I do not have any other domain controllers, but I do have one member server running MS-Windows 2003 Server w/sp2. Symantec AV is set to exclude the necessary folders from realtime scanniing like SYSVOL. frs error status I do also have a good backup of the SystemState from before the store with Veritas Backup Exec 9.1. What would be the best recommendation to correct this issue. I'm guessing that I can perform a non-authoritative restore using my backups of the SystemState, but I'd like to try the baby steps first. Thanks for any guidance. Ken shepcon, Mar 26, 2008 #1 Advertisements Lanwench [MVP - Exchange] Guest shepcon <> wrote: > I'm running SBS 2003 Premium w/sp2 (not R2). But didn't your UPS simply shut down your server? Are you running PowerChute? > Following the event, I'm now getting several NTFRS 13552 and > 13555 errors in my SBS event log. DCDiag reports the existence of some error events ID 13552 and 13555 for the FRS. There seems to be several ways to correct these but what is the correct way on SBS 2003? If it isn't - set it to Automatic and start it up. Then re-run DCDIAG and see if the errors persist. 0 Message Author Comment by:Winfix12012-05-15 Thanks Yes it is already started and running. The error occurs on starting the service and also once about 8:30 each day. 0 LVL 76 Overall: Level 76 SBS 35 Windows Server 2003 25 Message Active today Expert Comment by:Alan Hardisty2012-05-15 Okay - please follow the advice in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/819268 How much free disk space does the C: drive have available? 0 LVL 76 Overall: Level 76 SBS 35 Windows Server 2003 25 Message Active today Accepted Solution by:Alan Hardisty2012-05-15 You may also find that the following KB article fixes the problem: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290762 Use the non-authoritative restore method (burflags = D2) 0 Message Author Comment by:Winfix12012-05-15 Ok I think this is resolved. Basically I followed the instructions in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925633/en-us which describes using the non-authoritative restore method (burflags = D2) as mentioned by alanhardisty but is a little more concise. 0 Message Author Closing C
