There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action DoInstall, location: C:\Windows\Installer\MSID933.tmp, command: /silent /install "appguid={8A69D345-D564-463c-AFF1-A69D9E530F96}&appname=Google Chrome&needsAdmin=True&brand=GGRV" /installsource enterprisemsi /appargs "appguid={8A69D345-D564-463c-AFF1-A69D9E530F96}&installerdata=%7B%22distribution%22%3A%7B%22msi%22%3Atrue%2C%22system_level%22%3Atrue%2C%22verbose_logging%22%3Atrue%7D%7D" I've tried manually uninstalling again from the MSI but no luck. I've tried manually installing with the /i feature when executing the installer but no chrome uninstall tool luck. I've removed registry settings and even tried the Microsoft Fix It that deals with problems with installing and uninstalling software but no luck. Why it is not working on a few machines I'm just not understanding, especially when we removed them all in the same fashion. There is one Windows 7 machine . Re-imaging is not really a solution as some computers being affected are office and administrative computers. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks very much! 2 Comments [ + ] Show Comments Comments anand.30hiremath 2 years ago Please mention Windows Flavour, there is a problem in Windows 8, If u uninstall still registry will be there, need to delete from the registry also bibingeorge 2 years ago Windows 7 Please log in to comment Community Chosen Answer 1 This happens to me from time to time. Robert, is this an "older" MSI being installed over a "newer" existing install? Comment 5 by rob...@blaut.biz, Oct 14 2010 Processing I don't remember :( However it's possible I was tested Google Chrome Frame long time ago. Comment 6 by robertshield@chromium.org, Oct 21 2010 Processing In order to debug this further, I'll need a bit more information. When the MSI returns Error 1722, it means that it did call enter the Chrome installation part of the install but that the Chrome part did not complete. To help diagnose this, there is a file called chrome_installer.txt in your %TEMP% directory that contains logs describing
