23, 2008 Messages: 253 Featured Posts: 0 Country: Last days I'm having an error with the Homebrew Browser. When I start it, it takes homebrew browser read error -81 a while to load. Then some text appear but the browser starts too fast to read it. Then, at the top of the screen, stands this: DEBUG: fwrite error: [1] not owner And then nothing happens, after a while

it just goes back to the Homebrew Channel. I even used an older version, to check the connection, and it doesn't show the update of 0.2.5a to 0.2.5b. What's wrong? The Home Browser has to write some info to the SD homebrew browser server appears to be having an issue card so if it was locked you'd get errors. The SD card I was using when I stuck it into the Wii the switch would lock the SD card so I had to "modify" so I could use it again computerboy, Feb 22, 2009 Top #3 OP Member Luigi728 GBAtemp Regular Joined: Sep 23, 2008 Messages: 253 Featured Posts: 0 Country: It was locked, Thanks for your help^^ Luigi728, Feb 22, 2009 Top #4 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.) Browser v.2.2 not working September 09, 2008 10:46PM Registered: https://gbatemp.net/threads/homebrew-browser-error.137076/ 8 years agoPosts: 1Reply Quotedevilsbook Re: Homebrew Browser v.2.2 not working September 10, 2008 03:03AM Registered: 8 years agoPosts: 10It's certainly a problem http://forum.wiibrew.org/read.php?21,1831 with your SD card, (or, I suppose, a bug in libfat itself, though that seems unlikely). Try formatting with the official formatter if you haven't already, try FAT32, make sure the write-protect switch is off...any or all of those things may help.Reply Quote Newer Topic Older TopicPrint View RSS Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.Click here to login This forum is powered by Phorum.
issue Added ability to not delete folders and not extract files if they exist Added ability to select starting category and sorting method Re-added mp3 support (add loop.mp3 and it will play it instead of loop.mod) Improved scrolling http://www.codemii.com/2009/09/29/hbb-updated-to-v0-3-6/ of the list at start up The Homebrew Browser has been upgraded to v0.3.6 to http://www.codemii.com/2008/09/06/hbb-updated-to-v022/ mainly fix the scrolling list bug but I was also able to add some more things to it as well like the ability to choose the starting category (other than games) and the starting sort method (other than date). I have re-added mp3 support but it might not work properly as I didn't have much people to test it out. homebrew browser Also small things like not deleting folders (e.g. /apps/fceu, /fceu/roms, etc) has been added as well as not extracting files if they exist (e.g. /apps/quake/ID1/pak0.pak). Download HBB v0.3.6 or run HBB on your Wii to update. This entry was posted on Tuesday, September 29th, 2009 at 9:39 pm and is filed under Homebrew Browser. I think it said fwrite error: not owner or something like that when it was trying to get the homebrew apps list during the initial loadup before getting into the gui. It just kept retrying and giving the same error over and over until the screen went blank and the wii froze. After I hard-reset the wii, and loaded the HBB again, the error was gone and everything was fine. Reply pimp says: October 3, 2009 at 4:26 am Well, I still have the same stack dump problem after downloading this. It gives me the same error whenever I try to go on any app. Should I delete everything off my SD card and try downloading everything again? Reply teknecal says: October 3, 2009 at 8:56 am Yeah that always worth a try. Reply cypher007 says: October 3, 2009 at 4:38 am i keep getting: Read error -126 occurred. Retrying… scrolling down the screen on initial startup. Reply dvd2vcd says: October 4, 2009 at 9:11 pm is the codemii site having problems?
load all the images Fixed IR cursor, no more IR cursor correction is required (thanks Wil) Deleting applications now deletes all files from the directories created (emulator roms/saves directories aren't deleted) Dpad left and right now controls the categories Updated HBB about image to include information about wii message notifications for HBB Download HBB v0.2.2 or run HBB on your Wii to update This update should make loading the Homebrew Browser a better experience as you'll no longer have to wait for it to download all the images when first run. The IR cursor being fixed should also make things a bit better as well. The fix for the IR cursor was quite simple. I was using ir.sx and sy before as I thought that it would have been better as these co-ordinates are smoothed but it turns out that using ir.x and y work just as well and I believe have fixed the IR cursor correction problem.
