just bought it last week ago. It's BRAND NEW. Respond to this 1 Yes, but it would have been better if you posted in a 5110 thread!Search the forums for Twang, he has posted a couple of transcripts of online chats with HP support.HP should give you http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/23013 a free replacement for your printer, don't argue that it's out of warranty, and don't phone HP, believe me and use the online support chat. (I'm looking at the free replacement they sent me right now) by Stephen on Sep 10, 2005 at 7:05pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 The 5510 is 'dumb', meaning that for the sake of cost saving, a lot of the document processing is offloaded to the computer. The result is that if your computer hp photosmart just meets the minimum requirements specified in HP's documentation, printing is likely to be sloooow. I have a customer with an older computer that prints lots of graphics and she is much happier with her Deskjet 1220C. Bottom line: If printing seems to running in slow motion, get used to it or upgrade your computer. by Bert on Sep 28, 2004 at 9:30am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Hi Bert, Ok Thank you for the suggestion but my computer has hp photosmart 5520 1GB of memory 80GB HD Windows 2004 SP4 and updated. Did you ever encounter problems with the machine besides that slow. I suggest the you give some details concerning what's going on and someone may be able to help you. Sometimes the latest driver will clear up problems. Just get ready for the mother of all downloads. h10025.www1.hp.com by Bert on Sep 28, 2004 at 10:31am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Hi Bert, Yes thank you very much. I've downloaded the LATEST drivers for the printer 5510. I was just telling you my specs for the printer I have that is all. Mike C by unknown on Sep 28, 2004 at 10:34am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I am trying to talk between my HP pc and my HP Officejet 5510 (yes, both are HP) with a USB port. Also on the USB are my IPOD connection and my Lexmark printer. I downloaded the latest Officejet 5510 driver from the hp website. Once I installed it, the usb wouldn't work - that means no lexmark and, worst of all, no ipod. After I uninstalled it, it worked again! Surprise...not! I spent all afternoon on live chat with 3 different people
