Join them; it only takes a minute: Sign up HTTP Status 404 - Servlet [ServletName] is not available up vote 3 down vote favorite The problem : My index.jsp with web.xml http status 404 error in tomcat the requested resource is not available keeps going into HTTP 404 and 500 I'm using Tomcat6 . This is from index.jsp :
When I'm in Registration : and I hit the name and last-name , I go into 404 , the message : HTTP Status 404 - Servlet RegistrationServlet is not available type Status report message Servlet RegistrationServlet is not available description The requested resource (Servlet RegistrationServlet is not available) is not available. Apache Tomcat/6.0.35 What do you think it the cause for that error ? The class RegistrationServlet is under the file RegistrationServlet.java in the folder src/coreservlets/ I checked web.xml but it seems to be okay , but here it is (if it would be helpful):Du siehst YouTube auf Deutsch. After coming https://coderanch.com/t/87666/Tomcat/HTTP-Status-error-tomcat to tomcat web applicaiton manager page i see a list of applications. These are sample https://coderanch.com/t/561363/Servlets/java/HTTP-status-error-Tomcat web applications that came when tomcat was downloaded. Now my problem is When i click on any of those applications i get HTTP Status 404 - /examples/ type Status report message /examples/ description The requested resource (/examples/) is not available. 2. MYAPP is my application. I am trying to see the form.html(located in Tomcat 4.1\webapps\MYAPP). But i dont see MYAPP http status in tomcat manager at all. If anyone can suggest me what to do it would be great.
