programs is that they can only return 2 statuses: 0 (=success) or 1 (=error), but sometimes we want to return a warning status instead. For example when we run a SQL*Loader script, and records get discarded, and are not put in the bad file. We probably want to review those to make sure the discarding was valid. The easiest way to do that is by setting the status of the concurrent request to ‘WARNING' in the script itself by execuring a SQL script. The only variables you need for that are the database login and the concurrent request ID, and both are already passed as parameter by the concurrent manager. So that part of host script will look like the code below (we are manually extracting the parameters from the string passed by the concurrent manager) sqlldr ${FCP_LOGIN}, \ control=${CONTROL_FILE}, \ data=${DATA_FILE}, \ bad=${BAD_FILE}, \ log=${LOG_FILE}, \ discard=${DISCARD_FILE} \ errors=10 \ > /dev/null rc=${?} #0=Success, 1=Failure, 2=Warning, 3=Fatal if [ ! -s ${BAD_FILE} -a "${rc}" == "2" ]; then # set request status to warning: RESULT =`sqlplus -s ${FCP_LOGIN} < n_session_id ,user_id => NULL ,resp_id => NULL ,resp_appl_id => NULL ,security_group_id => NULL ,site_id => -1 ,login_id => NULL ,conc_login_id => NULL ,prog_appl_id => NULL ,conc_program_id => NULL ,conc_request_id => ${FCP_REQID} ,conc_priority_request => NULL ,form_id => NULL ,form_appl_id => NULL ,conc_process_id => NULL ,conc_queue_id => NULL ,queue_appl_id => NULL ,server_id => -1 ); b_success := fnd_concurrent.set_completion_status( status => 'WARNING' ,message => 'See log file for warning details.' ); COMMIT; END; / exit; !` echo SQL*Loader ended with warning echo # write discard file to concurrent request log echo "*** Records in discard file:" echo "**********************************************************************************" echo "******************************* BEGIN DISCARD FILE ********************************" echo cat ${DISCARD_FILE} echo echo "******************************** END DISCARD FILE ********************************" echo "**********************************************************************************" fi Posted by Arnold van Koppen @ 10:18 for EBS R12, Scripts & Queries | Tags: concurrent pro
