IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads. When you install an SSD drive, a reboot or restart from the OS does not work. I allowed the update to download and install. Later, the prompt told me that I should not turn off my computer, but it will turn it self off when the updates were done. Occasionally (about 20-30% of the times) when I initialization error tried to boot up my laptop, it will give the attached screen error within 3-5 seconds after powering up my X61 Usually I would power it off & power on & it would be able to boot up on Win XP Professional SP3 again. Q1: What's the cause? Q2: Is this is a hardware or software issue? I would get a backup of the system right away using Ghost, ImageX, or Drive Snapshot before it dies. You can just replace the hard drive and boot to DOS and restore your image to the new hard drive. I installed it in a Lenovo T61 and installedWindows 7 x64. Everything was running fine for a couple days until this morning. I left it running overnight and it must of automatically went into hibernate mode. When powering up it kept blue screening.I tried to re-install Win7 and now I keep getting the error in the subject line.Any ideas?
