(apart from the workspace browser crashing the entire system) I went to open up a session that I was working on yesterday and I get an Initialization Error Code: -7, which is then followed by an application error (0xc0000142) I have tried re-installing Pro Tools from the original disk, from the 9.0.2 download and more.. but can't get Pro Tools to open, Anyone who could help, it would be much appreciated as I am currently running a few post sessions and really need my DAW back online! Is there any way of contacting Avid directly ? The presence of these apps and possibly some others can cause the -7 error - Comodo firewall - Makrolock Antivirus - Panda Security - F-Secure Internet Security (unconfirmed) - Sentinel HASP License Manager ( older versions ) - Norton Online Backup Also many users who have recently reported this problem have malware installed on their computer - "Browser Manager" (mngr.exe) - "Babylon Toolbar" (browserprotect.exe) - Anything from the company PerformerSoft LLC If none of the above mentioned applications are installed, please provide us with system information.
