Word 07, I get 3 "application initialization" errors for the pat for "PrefSet1" Why and how do I fix it? I see. First off, let's make sure that a Word add-in isn't causing this error message to come up. Now, please go to Start, and type in regedit in the search field, and press ENTER. In the 'Registry Editor' window that comes up, navigate to the following registry key in the left panel: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Now, right-click on the 'Word' key accordingly and select 'Delete'.
