One built into the motherboard and one you added later? A while back some players had trouble with that and needed to disable their motherboard's sound in the bios to get rid of an error. There was an error initializing the playback framework. Possibly already being used by another application. [-70002]The DVD player works fine when run from the application directory, however... so the error only occurs when auto playing a disc at insert. The only change I have made to my system recently has been MacFUSE NTFS-G3 addition to allow me to write to my NTFS partition.Any suggestions? Thanks!Jorin MBP 2.2, Mac initialization error OS X (10.5.2) Posted on May 16, 2008 2:32 PM I have this question too Close Q: DVD Player initialization error -70002 All replies Helpful answers by JR Green, JR Green May 22, 2008 3:47 PM in response to JR Green Level 1 (0 points) May 22, 2008 3:47 PM in response to JR Green Update: MacFUSE and the NTFS plug have been removed, but I am still receiving the playback initialization error same error upon attempting autoplay of a DVD. Seems that the program was grabbing at the DVD drive first or something... uninstalled, and problem cleaned up. It is worth examining your startup items, as that is quite possibly where your problem is, even if you are not running Semulov like I was...Feel free to drop me an e-mail if you need some help, though I am hardly a Mac Wizard. jorin_green at yahoo.com Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions and is for informational purposes only.
