HELP!!! CANNOT INITIALIZE DVD DECODER? 2.0: "Error PL4007: InterActual Player is unable to initialize your DVD decoder for playback." Yet I have the recommended WinDVD installed. I also have PowerDVD installed, so I should have a decoder. I reinstalled both InterActual and WinDVD to no avail. The only reason I'm trying to use it is to get the license for playing T2:EE WM9. I tried to open the T2 WM9 files directly but I can't get the license that way. Anyone knows a solution? Some DVD utility programs seem to install their own custom decoders for their purposes which confuses InterActualPlayer. In my case the culprit turned out to be DVDDecrypter. After uninstalling and cleaning the http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/help-cannot-initialize-dvd-decoder.435426/ registry from any references to that piece of software, InterActualPlayer worked again. I always got a "Create Overlay Failed" error. I also couldn't play DVD's in my Windows Media interactual error Player anymore. While a connection is active, DirectDraw Acceleration and interactual error 4007 AGP Texture Acceleration are both disabled. If this happens, you don't have to reinstall anything. Just right click desktop, Properties, Settings, Advanced, Troubleshoot, and slide the hardware acceleration handle to Full again, OK, OK It solved the problem for me. Dirk's fix didn't solve my problem, but led me toward the solution. After searches for "PL4007" on INterActual's help site, I finally found a solution that worked for me.
