It mentions the 1002, and says that 1000 codes have to do with problems in the download of a file.Do you have virus software, if so, turn it off. See if there are any further answers on that page for you. I was texting a friend with it connected on the computer. Suddenly i got no signal. I turned airplane mode on and off, nothing. Restarted it then I got these messages in many different languages, like when the iPhone is new saying it only does emergency calls. ThenI tried to restore and got stuck in this eternal loop, getting the same error.Tried to restore even on a PC and not working... I have tried everything with it. But it wont restore. Always shows error saying "Could not be restored Error 1002" Following steps i've tried: 1. Updated with latest version of itunes with latest FW 4.1 both in restore mode and DFU mode. Always shows same error 1002. 2. Tried with Recboot to exit the iphone from recovery mode. It comes out of the recovery mode But iphone shows an error message on it saying "Restore Needed. Connect with itunes". It does not activate as well and restarts itself and goes back to restore mode again.
