I'd heard really good things about it and had wanted to rent it for some time. My wonderful wife bought me an iTunes gift card for Christmas so I wanted to start putting it to good use. The nearly 4GB download finally finished (HD rental) and I was ready to start the movie. After clicking play I received a dialog box with error code 5103. I ipod touch ran Software Update to make sure I had the latest version of iTunes hoping that it would be a simple fix. That didn't do it. After some digging I got it going and now I'm sitting here enjoying this action-packed opening sequence. Here's what I found: Initially I thought it might be related to my date/time settings based on this Apple Discussions thread. I thought that was odd considering I was playing this on an ipod touch error iMac that is 2 days old. I looked around some more and found an Apple Support page giving some instructions for fixing the error. After deleting the /Users/Shared/SC Info/ directory and re-opening iTunes the rental played perfectly. I was quite nervous at first because reading the support page suggested that I would have to re-download the nearly 4GB rental. Thankfully I didn't have to re-download it or re-authorize iTunes. After deleting the directory it worked like a charm. Perhaps someone will come across this entry one day and have their problem solved :) Comments You should've seen it in the theatre. I did and bought the DVD last week. Sean on Jan 5th, 2010 at 8:08 pm Yeah there are a number of films I'd love to see in the theater. Unfortunately it cost an arm and a leg to go on a movie date these days. I just wait for rentals now. I probably go to the movies once a quarter now. Erik Reagan on Jan 5th, 2010 at 10:11 pm Me too… if I see a movie it's usually with my friends because then we dont' have to pay for a sitter. Sean on Jan 5th, 2010 at 10:22 pm Worked like a charm, I actually could not complete the download of 2 rentals without getting the 5103 error…...in my case
