I have tried changing my Internet Explorer advance settings from enable folder view for FTP sites. I receive the same message. Normally that should be supported by every FTP server. Maybe the FTP server only accepts passive mode FTP.HTH,Stefaan (in reply to Adam_H) Post #: 2 RE: ISA Server: extended error message : - 8.Nov.2002 9:56:00 PM Adam_H Posts: 27 Joined: 23.Oct.2001 From: Clearwater, FL Status: offline It was my understanding that port and pasv modes were controlled by your browser. If you change your advance options for IE from enable FTP folder view this changes the mode of your browser from port to pasv. I have tried downloading from the site both ways and I still get the same message. Any additional thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks, (in reply to Adam_H) Post #: 3 RE: ISA Server: extended error message : - 8.Nov.2002 10:12:00 PM spouseele Posts: 12830 Joined: 1.Jun.2001 From: Belgium Status: offline Hi Adam,no, that's not true! When you are going through the web proxy server, IE doesn't talk FTP but HTTP to the web proxy service and it is the web proxy service who setup the FTP connection. Check out my articl

Solved FTP is inaccessible from the internet: ISA Error Posted on 2007-06-21 File Sharing http://mpwiki.viacode.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=97145 Software MS Forefront-ISA SBS 1 Verified Solution 15 Comments 1,692 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-09 FTP is inaccessible from the internet. It is accessible within the local network. The FTP Server is located on a Windows 2003 Small Business Server which has isa server ISA Server 2000. The server is the Domain, Web Server, Exchange Server, and Internet Gateway. When Windows Server SP2 came out we installed several microsoft updates which included a Service Pack for ISA Server 2000. After installing these updates it was necessary to use the web proxy instead of going straight through. Our FTP also was no longer accessible from the internet. Right now instead of the welcome message when somone tries to acces our FTP trough IE they see: ISA isa server extended Server: extended error message : 200 Type set to A. 200 PORT command successful. 150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for /bin/ls. 550 .: Access is denied. Oddly one computer that had been accessing this FTP before still is able to access it, but to my knowledge it is the only one able to. That said, the .: suggests that no credentials were passed in the ftp request - what authentication is set on the FTP service - Anonymous? 0 Message Author Comment by:VoodooFrog2007-06-21 Yes, the FTP is set up for anonymous login. It is also setup in the FTP site Properties so you can write to it but not read. Also, we do have SBS Premium Edition, however I cannot find a SP1 CD. It would seem though, that I somehow have two Disc 3's of the install CD's. Is there a free upgrade to ISA2004? 0 LVL 51 Overall: Level 51 MS Forefront-ISA 40 SBS 12 File Sharing Software 3 Message Expert Comment by:Keith Alabaster2007-06-21 The free upgrade is on t
