not authorized to perform this operation. Explanation: The queue manager’s security mechanism has indicated that the userid associated with this request is not authorized to access the object. The Remote Administration connection is initiated by a user on a Windows machine and the user is attempting to connect to a remote queue manager, so it can remotely administer MQ objects. The attempt is failing because the initiator user ID does not have the authority to access one or more objects on the remote system. Most common cause: The Windows user ID: not defined on the remote machine not defined correctly (case matters) longer that 12 characters (restriction in some OS environments) does not have enough authority to access remote objects Diagnostic hints and tips: The easiest way to resolve this problem is to make the Windows user ID a super user on the local and remote systems. The user should have full authority and access to all MQ objects on the remote system. Make this user a member of the "mqm" group in the OS environments that have an "mqm" group defined. APAR status Closed as program error. Error description WebSphere MQ channels terminated unexpectedly with messages AMQ9604: Channel terminated unexpectedly and AMQ9208: Error on receive from host xxxxxx EXPLANATION: An error occurred receiving data from xxxxx over TCP/IP. This may be due to a communications http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IZ25614 failure. ACTION: The return code from the TCP/IP (read) call was 104 (X'68'). . The FDC's show that rriAcceptSess calls are failing in the amqrmppa process with a SIGSEGV and we are getting probe id's XC130003 and RM031101. The function stack for both FDCs shows: MQM Function Stack ccxResponder rrxResponder rriAcceptSess xcsFFST Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: This problem may be encountered when attempting to connect to a queue manager which has channel auto-definition set (the queue manager CHAD attribute set to ENABLED). Users with channel auto- definition enabled are recommended to disable it if it is not required; or else to ensure a fix for this APAR is applied. Platforms affected: All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: The SIGSEGV FDCs in amqrmppa show that function rriGetChannelDef (called from rriAcceptSess) invoked lpiSPIKernel which returned arcE_OBJECT_NOT_FOUND (it did not find the requested channel). Routine rriGetChannelDef should have returned a failure code, but it returned OK. This immediately leads to a SIGSEGV in rriAcceptSess. Very careful examination of the code of rriGetChannelDef reveals that there is a failure path out of this function whereby it fails to set its return code cor
mq400l2 AMQ9208 3426 INDOUBT OS/390 OS390 AS/400 AS400 iSeries channel upgrade indoubt receiver channel Technote (troubleshooting) Problem(Abstract) After a WebSphere MQ upgrade on the iSeries box, the http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21145730 SDR(400) to RCVR(z/OS) channel pair does not start. The SDR side goes to running state while RCVR remains inactive. The SDR side gets an AMQ9208 error message that indicates a TCP/IP failure to connect to z/OS. Symptom AMQ9208 - Error on receive from host &3 with a TCPIP RC 3426 - A connection with a remote socket was reset by that socket. Cause Receiver channel was INDOUBT. mq error There were no errors on the iSeries side indicating INDOUBT status because the queue manager had been migrated. However, the z/OS SYNCQ still contained records from an incomplete transaction which occurred prior to the WMQ upgrade on iSeries resulting in the channel startup problem. Resolving the problem We tried a number of things before locating the actual cause of the problem. Verified listener was running on receiver websphere mq error channel side Telnetted from iSeries to ip address on z/OS successfully Changed CONNAME on sender channel from host name to ip address and that resulted in an AMQ9209. Added port number on CONNAME and that resulted in an AMQ9213 rc 3021 because user had incorrectly typed the word PORT next to port number but when they removed it - it still resulted in an AMQ9209. Finally, the z/OS side noticed the status of the receiver channel was INDOUBT. We did a resolve and commit on the sender channel side but that had no effect on the receiver channel's status. User used a z/OS tool (CSQ4SUTL) designed to remove records from the SYNCQ. Once this tool was run to remove the records associated with the indoubt receiver channel, the channels started successfully on both sides.
