Mq Reason Code 2033
program fails to process an MQ API call. MQ notifies the program of the failure, by mq error codes returning a completion code (MQCC), and a reason code (MQRC). These completion codes, and reason codes are documented in the WebSphere MQ Messages manual. Resolving the problem

Completion codes The following is a list of the completion codes (MQCC) returned by WebSphere MQ. 0 Successful completion (MQCC_OK) 1 Warning (partial completion) (MQCC_WARNING) 2 Call failed (MQCC_FAILED) Reason codes For a list of reason codes, see Reason codes. You can also use the MQRC utility program to display description of a mqrc 2085 reason code. Example: Details regarding the most common reason codes. Space issue when we receive file Support for MQSeries and Websphere Message Oriented Middleware communication systems for z/OS Post a reply Previous topic • Next topic • 8 posts • Page 1 of 1 Space issue when we receive http://www.ibmmainframeforum.com/websphere/topic9346.html file by Antonyraj85 » Wed Aug 07, 2013 6:40 pm Hi Team,Actual size of the http://www.error-codes.info/2011/03/sbl-eai-04239-unable-to-put-message-to.html file is 259MB which when zipped is 15MB. When we receive the rar file, we are getting following error message."com.ibm.mq.MQException:- MQJE001: Completion Code 2, Reason 2030"We have checked QLOCAL MAXMSGL size which is 100 MB. So any idea, why still, it is failing with space issue.Antony Antonyraj85 Posts: 79Joined: Mon Jun 14, 2010 9:51 am Hasthanked: 0 time Beenthanked: 0 time mq error Top Re: Space issue when we receive file Top Re: Space issue when we receive file by NicC » Wed Aug 07, 2013 6:55 pm From your terminology and the variable names the length of the message can be up to 100mb BUT you say space which is a different thing altogether - space relates to storage - probably DASD so you have a shortage of DASD or the allocation of the file is not big mq error code enough .This is nothing to do with message length. The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.RegardsNic NicC Global moderator Posts: 2505Joined: Sun Jul 04, 2010 12:13 amLocation: Down on the pig farm Hasthanked: 4 times Beenthanked: 86 times Top Re: Space issue when we receive file by Robert Sample » Wed Aug 07, 2013 8:19 pm Google is your friend. Googling mqje001: reason code 2030 returns on the first page this hit: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... wg21154055 which starts off 2030 MQRC MSG TOO BIG FOR QTechnote (troubleshooting)Problem(Abstract)MQPUT fails and you receive the following:2030 X’07EE’ MQRC_MSG_TOO_BIG_FOR_Q CauseThe message length exceeds the maxmsgl specified in the WebSphere MQ queue manager, queue and channel definitions.Resolving the problemThe queue manager, queue and channel must have maxmsgl set to be large enough to hold your messages. 1.Alter the queue manager maxmsgl. 2.Alter the queue maxmsgl. 3.Alter the channel maxmsgl.and it proceeds to give the commands needed to change the three queue maximum message lengths. Since you only mentioned one in your post, I suspect you haven't changed everything that needs changing. or search for a resolution mostly from Oracle Support, IT Toolbox, Siebel Unleashed etc. I have tried to search for all the solutions for a particular error code in all the mentioned sites and put all the solutions in this site. Search This Blog SBL-EAI-04239: Unable to put a message to MQSeries Queue '%1'rMQSeries Error Code: %2 Applies to: Siebel CRM - Version: 7.8.2.7 [19234] - Release: V7 Information in this document applies to any platform. Symptoms Siebel 'EAI MQSeries Server Transport' business service method 'Send' is not able to post data to MQ server when the message size is more than 4MB in size. When sending more than 4MB message size, the 'EAI MQSeries Server Transport' business service method 'Send' returns the following error message: Error Code: (SBL-BPR-00162)--(SBL-EAI-04239) Error Messsage: Error invoking service 'EAI MQSeries Server Transport', method 'Send' at step 'Send to MQ'.(SBL-BPR-00162) -- Unable to put a message to MQSeries Queue 'QUEUE_NAME' MQSeries Error Code: 2030(SBL-EAI-04239) Cause The cause of the problem/error occurring when posting a message greater than 4MB is due to the IBM MQ Series 'Maximum Message Length' setting at the Queue Manager and Queue level set to a default of 4194304 bytes, which is roughly 4MB for the maximum message size that MQ can accept. According to IBM's website, the error code 2030 and 2031 have the following error message and meaning: MQRC_MSG_TOO_BIG_FOR_Q 2030 MQRC_MSG_TOO_BIG_FOR_Q_MGR 2031 The 'Maximum Message Length' exists in IBM MQ Series at both the MQ Queue Manager and Queue level. The setting for this 'Maximum Message Length' field needs to be set the same value at both the Queue Manager and Queue level that the application is trying to send to. When the 'Maximum Message Length' is only 4194304 bytes, this means it can only accept messages with roughly 4 MB. These error codes are documented on IBM's website: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg21154055 2030 MQRC MSG TOO BIG FOR Q Problem(Abstract) MQPUT fails and you receive the following: 2030 X'07EE' MQRC_MSG_TOO_BIG_FOR_Q Cause The message length exceeds the maxmsgl specified in the WebSphere® MQ queue manager, queue and channel definitions.
