Resolving the problem Specify the queue manager name (QMNAME) on the CLNTCONN channel definition. Example: DEFINE CHANNEL(CHAN2) CHLTYPE(CLNTCONN) TRPTYPE(TCP) + CONNAME(9.20.4.26) QMNAME(QM2) Queue manager name (QMNAME) This is the name of the queue manager or queue manager http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21110858 group to which a WebSphere MQ client application can request connection. This attribute is valid for channel types of Client connection. Additional information Ensure the client channel definition does not have a blank Queue Manager Name field. WebSphere MQ does an MQCONNX supplying a specific queue manager name, so when searching the channel table, WebSphere MQ fails to locate the channel. Adding the queue manager name to the CLNTCONN definition and recopying the channel table file to the client machine resolved the problem. Try to use amqsputc ended with reason sample and see if you are able to put messages. You have to set MQSERVER environment variable and then use the sample. The command on Windows command prompt "set MQSERVER=
