File 1033dotnetfxSp1.exe not found' When attempting to install Sage Financial Forecasting v12 on Windows 7 or Windows Vista, the following
Microsoft .net Framework Repair Tool
message may appear: '1155: Error installing Microsoft(R) .NET Framework. File .net framework 1.1 windows 7 1033dotnetfxSp1.ese not found' This is because Sage Financial Forecasting v12 was written using .NET v1,
Microsoft .net Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1
which is not included in either Windows 7 or Windows Vista. Later versions of .NET are backward compatible, however, the Sage Financial Forecasting installer http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_install/1155-error/23b28a6f-a815-40c7-b964-a7c37dc1b97e specifically checks for an installation of .NET v1.1, service pack 1. It is included in the Sage Financial Forecasting v12.2.2.2 CD installation, however, to improve download and installation speed of the downloadable version, it isn't part of the installer. To resolve this, you need to do one of the following: https://my.sage.co.uk/public/help/askarticle.aspx?articleid=25747 Install Sage Financial Forecasting v12.2.2.2 from CD. The CD installer includes .NET 1.1. You may be charged for a replacement CD if you require one. Upgrade to Sage 50 Forecasting 2007. This uses a later version of .NET which doesn't cause problems when installing on Windows 7 or Windows Vista. Prior to installing Sage Financial Forecasting v12.1, download and install Microsoft .NET v1.1 and .NET v1.1 service pack 1 from the Microsoft website. For further information about this, please refer to the respective Microsoft pages. Note: For use with Windows 7 or Windows Vista, you must install Sage Financial Forecasting v12.2.2.2 or above. $forecast_alert Return to top Contact Sage Contact Sage UK Contact Sage Ireland Feedback Sage Information Terms and conditions (pdf) Sage UK Ltd. Have you tried installing .NET Framework 1.1 first, then run the blog software installer? TheOutcaste, Jul 5, 2010 #2 raysdesk Thread Starter Joined: May 14, 2010 Messages: 16 The software arrives as a zip file. Unzipping the file you are presented with an .exe file for installing the program. Clicking on the .exe file starts the Install Shield. The green progress bar starts moving across the screen and after about 15 second you see the message: Installing dotnetfx.exe. This runs for about 30 seconds and then the message displays: Preparing to install. This runs for about 15 seconds and then the message displays: 1155:Error installing Microsoft(R) .NET Framework. File dotnetfx.exe not found. Once you click "OK" in response to the message (the only choice given) the message sceen disappears and the installation session stops. The short answer to your question is "No" there is no dotnetfx.exe file in the blogger software folder. I downloaded and installed
