Fix it If the Fix it Tool didn't clear the error, or if you're running Windows XP or Vista, try the troubleshooting steps below. Troubleshoot your browser Clear browser cookies Your browser may be referencing an outdated or corrupted setting in the cookie file. Go to netflix.com/clearcookies to clear the Netflix cookie. This will sign you out of Netflix.com. Select Netflix Home, then Member Sign In to log back in and play your movie or TV show again. Restart your browser Sometimes restarting your browser can clear this issue. Quit your browser, restart it, and play your movie or TV show again. Try another browser A browser extension, plug-in or add-on may be causing this error. Try playing your movie or TV show in another browser. If you are able to watch in another browser, your current browser may be experiencing an issue with the Silverlight plug-in used by Netflix.com. If you're unable to watch in multiple browsers, or if you prefer to use your current browser, continue to the next troubleshooting step. Add Netflix as a trusted site in Internet Explorer In Internet Explorer, select the Gear icon () or Tools from the upper-right corner of the window. Select Internet Options. Select the Security tab. Select Trusted Sites, then select the Sites button. Uncheck Require server verification. Delete anything related to Netflix in the Websites: field. Type *.netflix.com in the Add this website to the zone field. Select the Add button. Select the Close button. Make sure your Windows user account can access Netflix.com The Microsoft Silverlight player on which Netflix.com runs requires that your Windows user account have administrative rights. To confirm your account has admin rights, try the following troubleshooting steps: Run browser as Administrator Quit all open browsers - including this window! You may want to print the following steps. Click on the Start Menu in the bottom left hand corner of your screen. Select All Programs. I'm trying to access the Xfinity app on Xbox 360 but I'm netflix error code getting error code 4004 after it says it authenticated, but then it says Authentication Failure due to if i remember right something about the License Server not being available. I can't even put my comcast username or password. How am I supposed to be able to use this service? I can access xfinity on the laptop and my iphone but not on the Xbox 360. Somebody please help i've called comcast and they said they couldn't help me both in the cable department and Internet. Help or advise? I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app but no luck!
