test out the http://stevesohcot.com/tech-lessons-learned/2011/10/02/sony-blu-ray-player-model-bpd-s580-wont-connect-to-netflix/ Internet prior to doing this. I looked for the solution online (discussion board / forums) and that didn't help.
The solution: I went http://www.hackingnetflix.com/2011/05/are-you-having-netflix-streaming-problems.html to the "View Videos on the Internet" button, and clicked on the "agree" (to the terms). From there, I was able to figure netflix error it out. As soon as I did this, the ability to view videos (on the Internet) was activated. To set up netflix, I had to create a "Sony Essentials" account (on my computer). Following the prompts on the TV, I eventually had to go back netflix error reference to netflix (on my computer) and activate my device. So the trick was to register the device (blu ray), which you had to create a Sony account first to do. 10.02.2011 Uncategorized No Comments Leave a response Name: Email: Website: Cancel Reply Categories: Android Apple Arduino ASP Books Bootstrap Cool Apps CSS Design entrepreneur Excel High Charts HTML iPhone JavaScript jQuery Life MS Access MS Outlook MS PowerPoint MS Word MySQL Phone Gap PHP Reading Ruby on Rails sql SQL Server SSRS tech support VBA web web host Latest: MS Access number of fields limitation Purple Cow - Review Set default database in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio PHP math (addition) not working Changing values in Chrome Inspector Doesn't Work MS Access Queries for Delete and Make Table don't work with VBA Back to topstreaming problems should be resolved, and if you're still having issues you should reboot your streaming device. There were a number of reports of Netflix streaming problems on Twitter and on the Roku website, and I was unable to access Netflix streaming on the Roku Player. Posted by: fluff | May 10, 2011 at 06:36 AM "Maybe they should stop spending all this money on international expansion and fix the service here?" Hey Jolly: Why don't you fu kk'n stay on topic? In case you can't remember, the question was "Are You Having Streaming Problems?". It has nothing to do with what should Netflix do with their money. Posted by: Tester | May 10, 2011 at 07:08 AM I have had a problem for a week or so with Monk. It starts fine, then the video goes in to slow motion as the audio mainly continues ok. Same problem has shown up on other shows from time to time but goes away. I have tried Monk several times, even different episodes and it seems to be a continuing problem. Posted by: JebNY | May 10, 2011 at 07:36 AM I haven't had any problems although during the last two weeks I haven't had time to stream that often. Posted by: Tester | May 10, 2011 at 07:40 AM Roku worked for me last night, as did my Xbox. But when I used the Xbox the only things that showed up were my queue, search watch with party. No other categories showed up. Posted by: Shawn | May 10, 2011 at 08:08 AM Could not login to Netflix on my xbox last night. It has nothing to do with the PS Network being down because I have been able to access Netflix the entire time. Posted by: Corvax | May 10, 2011 at 08:24 AM Our PS3 was out too. So pissed. we tried everything to get it to connect. we switched over
