You can overcome this with the WinImage plugin. share|improve this answer answered Jan 2 '15 at 15:14 idleberg 3,34421430 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. Note: you may have one or two (large) stale temporary file(s) left in your temporary directory (Generally this only happens on Windows 9x). --- part of file --- 1. x_polish.ras have 220 megabytes Full distribution have (unpacked) 830 MB Packed by bzip2 have 615 MB 2. I have empty temp directory - before running NSIS (!). I have: HDD: disk C: 6GB (FAT32 with 1,5GB free space) https://nsis-dev.github.io/NSIS-Forums/html/t-123323.html <- temp directory other disks FAT32 +/- 36 GB on 5 partition RAM: 128 MB OS: Windows 98 and Windows XP (always the same error) I use zlib algoritm, bzip2 is work but (decompression) its too slow for me. Questions: 1. What is wrong? (FAT32 ?!) 2. Can I change default (detected by nsis c:\win98\temp) temp directory (in NSIS of course)? 3. When 7z will be integrated in NSIS? Sugestion: On very big file progress bar is stop for 1-5 minutes, can someone change it. kichik 30th January 2003 17:18 UTC http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....733#post850733 If this guy is using FAT too then that's the reason. It might be that Windows NT only supports large files on NTFS. It's a pretty good possibilty. You can't change the default temporary directory returned by NSIS because NSIS just takes it from the system. What you can do is ask NSIS to bring the temp directory for all users (see SetShellVarContext). 7z should be avaiable before NSIS 2 final is out. That suggestion is already on the todo list. AnalogKid 30th January 2003 22:35 UTC Hello all, I have a similar problem; the file it takes a dump on is only about 39MB, but the overall inst

I love this software, btw. Until now everything has worked perfectly. But now the software is updated and requires a new installer, and the files have grown slightly (about 710 MB per file) and nsis error then I get the NSIS build error: "Internal compiler error #12345: error mmapping file (1447194380, 33554432) is out of range." The installer obviously isn't hitting the theoretical 2 GB .exe limit here but it's something else at work. I get the exact same error on Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8, and I've tried it on multiple computers, file systems and %temp% folder locations. There's plenty of space on all drives and RAM usage is negligible. The nsis error mapping same error occurs also using the native 64-bit prerelease of NSIS. We cannot use compression, for technical reasons (file watermarking) so there are not many options to try. We don't want to use multiple files, because it's a downloadable software, and since we can't compress the file we can't use two files and put them into a single .zip archive either. I was going to have a go at producing a fix for this myself, but I was unable to make the NSIS source code build... Normally I only work with Visual Studio and XCode so I'm a bit impaired when it comes to command line building and anything Python or make/scons. I managed to build a 3rd party NSIS "large installer" mod found here: https://github.com/ywjheart/Nsis64 as it provided a Visual Studio solution. Curiously, this mod has this problem solved and correctly produced a 1.4 GB installer. But unfortunately we had other problems with that version, and we had to take out parts of our script to make it build (but size-wise it worked fine). So... sorry to bother you with this, and I guess I'm asking here sort of as a last resort, since I'm not really sure how to proceed now. This is quite maddening, since we use some very specific features in NSIS which we cannot find in other programs. What would you recommend a safe setup to get the
