Ntop Error Buffer Too Short

Post #1 of 2 (1544 views) Permalink ntop 3.3 - buffer too short error I'm running ntop 3.3 on Linux. When I click IP - Summary - Multicast and try to sort by data sent, the HTML page goes blank (/multicastStats.html?col=3). The HTML source is also blank. And the if I click something else, I see blank. But everything comes back after a few minutes and then if I click the Multicast page again, the process repeats. In /var/log/messages, I see **ERROR** Buffer too short @ report.c:2222 (increase to at least 1159), **ERROR** Buffer too short @ webInterface.c:646 (increase to at least 1035), **ERROR** Buffer too short @ report.c:2222 (increase to at least 1221), **ERROR** Buffer too short @ webInterface.c:646 (increase to at least 1039), **ERROR** Buffer too short @ report.c:2222 (increase to at least 1221), **ERROR** Buffer too short @ report.c:2222 (increase to at least 1211), **ERROR** Buffer too short @ report.c:2222 (increase to at least 1074), **ERROR** Buffer too short @ report.c:2222 (increase to at least 1123), **ERROR** Buffer too short @ report.c:2222 (increase to at least 1121). I installed ntop from an RPM. Can someone please tell me what do I need to do to get rid of this "error"? Thanks. _______________________________________________ Ntop mailing list Ntop [at] unipi http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop Ggatten at waddell Mar18,2009,10:24PM Post #2 of 2 (1456 views) Permalink Re: ntop 3.3 - buffer too short error [In reply to] I'm no expert in compiling apps, but sounds like the defaults aren't working too well. If you check the man/faq there are several flags you can tweak at run time that may help. Else, you may have to get the source, tweak the code lines mentioned in the errors, and compile. Most everyone runs this on Linux of somekind so maybe someone can make binaries for you if you have problems. ----- Original Message ----- From: ntop-bounces [at] unipi <ntop-bounces [at] unipi> To: n
