Using JScript you'd use the following type of construct: In your ASP code you fudge it by using on error resume next at the point you'd have a try and checking err.Number at the point of a catch like: <% Dim i ' Turn on error Handling On Error Resume Next 'Code here that you want to catch errors from ' Error Handler If Err.Number <> 0 Then ' Error Occurred / Trap it On Error Goto 0 ' But don't let other errors hide! ' Code to cope with the error here End If On Error Goto 0 ' Reset error handling. %> share|improve this answer edited Oct 17 '12 at 11:42 Shadow Wizard 49.1k1385130 answered Jan 23 '09 at 11:19 Wolfwyrd 10.2k42861 2 +1. Else Response.Write "Foo bar found, yay.

Syntax On Error GoTo line On Error Resume Next On Error GoTo 0 The On Error statement syntax can have any of the following forms: Statement Description On Error GoTo line Enables the error-handling routine that starts at line specified in the required line argument. The line argument is any line label or line number. If a run-time error occurs, control branches to line, making the error handler active. The specified line must be in the same procedure as the On Error statement; otherwise, a compile-time error occurs. On Error Resume Next Specifies that when a run-time error occurs, control goes to the statement immediately following the statement where the error occurred where execution continues. Use this form rather than On Error GoTo when accessing objects. On Error GoTo 0 Disables any enabled error handler in the current procedure.
