Re: Error INstalling Oracle 11g on Windows8 64 bit Srini Chavali-Oracle Feb 6, 2013 4:22 PM (in response to Hkag) Currently, Win 8 is not a supported OS to install any Oracle software. You will have to use a supported OS - or install a VM on your Win 8 machine and then install 11gR2 in the VM HTH Srini 1 person found this helpful Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. when someone proce with the installation, it stuck there with the install oracle 11g windows vista error message "INS-13001: Environment does not meet minimum requirements. Action: Either check the logs for more information or install oracle 11g on windows 7 32 bit check the supported configurations for this product." To get it working on different versions of Microsoft client OS, you need to make some changes with configuration by doing the https://community.oracle.com/thread/2497632 following step by step method. How to install Oracle Database 11g R2 on Windows 8.1/8 Note: I tested it on my tablet running the Windows 8.1 update 1 64-bit. * Make sure you have installed the Oracle Developer Suite 6i and Developer Suite 10g softwares, as well as a minimum of 1Gb for the virtual memory (Change it by http://www.surfacetablethelp.com/2014/09/how-to-install-oracle-database-11g-r2-on-windows-8-18.html right-clicking Computer > Advance system setting > system properties > advance > performance > setting > advance > virtual memory > change). * Download the Oracle Database 11g R2 (two .zip files, about 2GB totally) from the official website. Open File Explorer, extract the zip files to a new single folder like Oracle11g. I downloaded them on D:\, so the full location is D:\Oracle11g. Go inside the folder, copy the D:\Oracle11g\win64_11gR2_database_2of2\database\stage\Components folder to D:\Oracle11g\win64_11gR2_database_1of2\database\stage\Components folder * Now switch to the win64_11gR2_database_1of2, go into the "database" folder, execute the setup.exe, and ignore the warning to start the installation on your machine. It might also works with the 32Bit version. Enjoy yourself. I assume you have Windows 7 x64 - Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate edition In the case of unusual errors it would not be impossible for something silly like the language pack in use on Windows to be the cause. Try starting with a new Windows install that has not been customized or has had any other Oracle products installed or removed Check the install logs. With all the versions and folder name changes I am not 100% sure where but you should look in the c:/Windows/oracle or in the install folder if located on hard disk share|improve this answer answered Sep 7 '11 at 11:12 kevinsky 2,7441637 add a comment| up vote 2 down vote The installation logs should be on the SYSTEM_DRIVE:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory\logs You can find some detailed information about installation troubleshooting here: F.3 Reviewing the Log of an Inst

Click properties on the service you want, there you can see the "service name" and the "display name". The service name is what you need to use with the net command. Check if Informatica Services 8.6.0 is in the list. share|improve this answer answered Jun 29 at 1
