I followed the directions on this sight and I can receive mail, but I cannot send mail. I am using mail.mydomain.com (where mydomain is my actual domain) for both the incoming and outgoing mail servers. Windows 7: Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail?? 17 May 2010 #1 tbaird8 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Edition 2 posts Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail?? Hello, I've spent about 8 days trying to figure this error message out. Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. I am able to log onto the incoming, but unable to log onto the outgoing. ****Note: I am able to send and receive email when I am physically at the office, but unable to send when away. This is not an Exchange server so I do not have to be VPN'd in, but to make sure I always VPN in an
