Check Task Manager>Processes tab and be sure msimn.exe is not running. But... Since nothing is ever what the message says, the next thing to try would be to move all messages from the Default folders (eg. Inbox, Sent Items, Deleted Items, Drafts) to folders of your own creation, or delete them if you don't want them. Then Compact OE. Close all folders so you are on the main screen of OE. File>Work offline. File>Folder>Compact all folders. Do nothing on the computer during the compacting process. Let it run undisturbed until finished. File>Work offline to remove the checkmark. Reboot and see if you get the error. Please post back with the results. T. throoper, Apr 1, 2009 #3 raquibird Thread Star
