If so, then there is a two part process for making it stop! Part One: Turn off Indexing for Outlook Express Click Start https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/299467 and select Control Panel Select Indexing Options Press "Modify" and uncheck Outlook Express. Part Two: Reset the counter for Outlook Express Click Start, select Run and type(without quotes) "regedit" and click OK Navigate to this key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0 where {GUID} is the long number used for your Identity. In the right-hand pane, double-click "Compact Check Count", then change the value to zero(Decimal).
