When I use nandub by itself I get the above error. "MPEG Import Filter: pack synchronization error" I get the error when I open a mpeg2 that I previous ripped from a DVD (using Video Vault) The mpeg2 file has the following characteristics: "Land Before Time 11.mpg" size= 2691086336 bytes. The file plays great with VLC. It has all the characteristics I want, I just want to compress down. I believe I now only have the GordianKnot codec pack, without DivX options. I'm trying to open a file with VirtualDub and this is what comes up. Actually I've tried it first with a https://sourceforge.net/p/ndub/bugs/10/ SVCD mpeg file and then converted it to VCD and still same error when I try to open it. Man learning this stuff is frustrating. All I want to do is burn a SVCD that doesnt stutter to play on my Standalone DVD. I've seen in another post that someone has a similar prob with stuttering audio&video of SVCD. My burned CD's work fine on my computer but not on my DVD player(panasonic RP56). Doing that display pack synchronization shows a Primary and Secondary DS1 boards that don't appear to be connected to a DS1 circuit (there is no CSU/DSU and no circuit ID). When I test the Primary board, it shows a test 138 fail, while the Secondary shows a test 144 (Error code 5) failure. I replaced the Primary board and got the same results. PN 3, on the other hand syncs to DS1 boards on PN pack synchronization error 3 that are good. As a result, I'm getting ES, SES and CSS errors on DS1's in PN 1. The questions that I have are; 1. Can I change to the Primary and Seconday in the CSS to any working DS1? 2. Will the change take our circuits down? 3. Shouldn't the CSS synchronization work for ALL DS1's in a Port Network? 4. Why would a tech configure PN 3 to to sync to different DS1's Sorry for the lengthy request. Thank you. It is a fundamental question, Do you have CSS(center stage switch) to interconnect the PNs ? If no, you do not need to administer CSS synchronization. 2. I guess that very short time disconnect may be occured. 4. I think PN3's administration is basic administration. 03B04 is primary synchronization source and 03D14 is secondary synchronization source. If you have three DS1 circuit-packs in PN3, 3rd DS1 circuit-pack have to administer "CIRCUIT PACKS AVAILABLE FOR SYNCHRONIZATION" of PN3.
