Fill the buret with distilled water to a point somewhat below the zero mark; it will be the initial liquid level of the buret. Weigh the empty beaker to the nearest milligram. Place the empty beaker under the stopcock of the buret and let the water run until 25- mL of water has been dispensed. Reweigh the filled beaker to the nearest milligram then determine the mass of water that was transferred in the beaker. Calculate the volume of water dispensed by the buret by subtracting the initial liquid level from the final liquid level. Use the Density of Water at various temperatures table to calculate the volume of water transferred in the beaker. Compare the calculated volume of the water from the observed volume of water, and then calculate the percentage difference between the calculated and observed volume. Pre Lab questions: 1 .
