P: 60 coaxfiber Hi I'm trying to setup a local web server for starting to study php. Here's the scenario. I installed apache 2.2.4-win32-x86-no_ssi.msi At the installation wizard I entered the ff: * Network Domain: localhost * Server Name: localhost * Administrator Email: any email address ***According to some reference, [Keep following the prompts until Apache is installed. To test everything is working properly open up a browser and enter localhost as the URL.If Apache has been installed correctly and the server is running the text should read: It Works!] ***Yup, I got this Then after I succesfully installed the apache,I begin to install php-5.2.2-win32-installer.msi When I prompted to choose a Web Server , I select Apache 2.2.x Module. Next will be asked for the Apache Configuration Directory, In my case I installed Apache in the default directory so this is where I pointed the installer: C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\conf But my problem now is when the installation finished ,the system will display this: "Error trying access the local web service: GetObject Failed. You will need to manually configure the web servers" So until now I cant start to study php for a reason.. FYI.
