Itunes Blank Cd Started by perplexed22 , Apr 07 2007 02:43 PM Please log in to reply 13 replies to this topic #1 perplexed22 perplexed22 Members 98 posts OFFLINE Local time:01:56 AM Posted 07 April 2007 - 02:43 PM I just bought brand new blank CD-Rs today and when I load them into my drive to burn songs onto them from iTunes, it says, "Please insert a blank disc" and then spits out the CD. I put it back in, because I know it is blank, but it still says the same thing. Other times it will accept the CD and say "Checking media" but still nothing happens. What is up with this problem? I read a similar post on this problem, but the solution had me lost. I don't know what to do because I've done what iTunes says, but it won't recognize it. Thanks for any help. I video many functions at our church and then create dvds to share with the congregation. In their place I bought two Plextor please insert a PX-L890SA and immediately ran into the issue of "Insert a blank disc" when I tried to do any burning in Roxio 2010 Music Disc Creator and Creator Classic (I assume it would have happened in the other apps but didn't try them). My first thought was that it was somehow a Lightscribe thing but it wasn't. After reading many suggestions and doing all the recommended updates I finally threw in the towel and decided to try a uninstall and reinstall. The good news is that it immediately solved the problem! I can only assume that the removal and cleaning of the registry allowed the drivers to be properly installed. Posted 04 February 2011 - 09:45 PM Hello,Did you uninstall/reinstall the drives in Device Manager, or did you uninstall/reinstall Creator 2010, please? If it was the suite, did you do a simple uninstall/reinstall or one of those full "clean install" procedures that Roxio recommends? I'd like to know what to recommend to others in your position. Thanks,Brendon P4 @3.20GHz on Albatron PX-865PE Pro II with 2GB D

Hey everyone, So basically, Itunes now doesn't seem to recognize the blank cd i insert for burning. It used to work before, and if i insert something else that has music on it, it shows up just fine. The hardware seems to work ok. As for preferences, i already checked that and it opens up Itunes when i insert a music cd. I don't know if it is because of an update that this happened, but i don't see what else it could be. Anyone has this same problem, and could suggest a solution?
