Hi members! What does this error message mean? I want to do some audio recording with my 10.2 system. If possible I'll wait for 11.3 to upgrade my dial-up Pentium. Using Yast2 SW management the install download stops at the same spot as it does with Zypper. Glame is the app I wanted. Audacity installed fine. I already have Lame. This is the Zypper error message: frankk[2296] sudo zypper install glame root's password: Restoring system sources... Parsing metadata for 20070421-050535... Parsing metadata for 20070829-221542... will attempt to contact the sources. I recently made a new network install source server, and downed the old one. My old source was accessed over http, so it took a few minutes for YaST to attempt to connect to the old server, timeout, process random files, and then finally ask if I wanted to remove it. This caused my interest in an alternative method for removing the sources, something that wouldn't attempt to access the non-existent source. Hence, I tried zypper on for size. From The https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/422174-Pacman-Curl-Error-What-s-wrong Fantastic Manual for zypper: Installation Source Management zypper is able to work with YaST installation sources, aptrpm reposito‐ ries, ZENworks 7 Linux Management, ZENworks 6.6.x Linux Management servers, as well as local files. Currently, an Installation Source in zypper is a synonym for both Service and Catalog in ZLM. TERMS: ZENworks distinguishes services and catalogs. A service is added by URI and contains https://screamingadmin.wordpress.com/2009/10/30/is-your-zypper-up/ one or more catalogs. Libzypp does not have this distinction (yet) but for compatibility it uses the same command and option names (service-add, -catalog) as rug. In libzypp, an installa‐ tion source is a repository is a service is a catalog. Here are the commands I was most interested in: zypper sl lists the currently installed sources zypper sa "http://servername/repo/path" "SLES 10 SP3" adds a new service (installation source) at the specified URL with the given alias zypper sd

This can be done easily: sudo sed -i '/cdrom/d' /etc/apt/sources.list This should take care of the problem. The message is because somehow you still have the cdrom entry in your sources.list file, you can check the content of the file using: grep -v '#' /etc/apt/sources.list This will show you all the repositories you have activated. share|improve this answer answered Dec 5 '13 at 2:16 Braiam 39.2k1693154
Troubleshooting » [Resolved] READ THIS FIRST WordPress 4.6 Master List [Resolved] READ THIS FIRST WordPress 4.6 Master List Moderator James Huff @macmanx 2 months, 1 week ago Hooray! WordPress 4.6 "Pepper" is here! But OMGWTFBBQ!? WordPress 4.6 broke everything? Don't Panic! Before you go any further, make sure you've updated your plugins and themes to the latest versions, clear your browser's cache and cookies and re-log into your WordPress dashboard. t Still having problems? Okay, read on! This thread contains the known issues with plugins and themes found in 4.6. Please read this WHOLE topic and come back and check again later, as it will be updated. Remember to be calm, be patient, and be respectful. Volunteers are out here to try and help you, but we need your help too. All of the normal forum rules still apply. Remember, you are just as important as everyone else. If your post doesn't show up right away, please be patient. With the higher than normal post volume, more posts get flagged as spam by our auto-spam tool. We're working hard to keep the queue clear, but making multiple posts slows us down, as we have to go back and check if you already posted. Post once. Do use proper capitalization in post titles and body. Punctuate your sentence properly and humanely, it helps us read. Do use descriptive subject lines. "All permalinks broken since 4.6" is much better than "Augh! Help ASAP! This version is terrible!" Do describe the problem clearly. Explain what you're seeing, include error messages and link to screenshots if needed. Linking to your site, if the problem is on the front-end, also helps. Do be patient. We know it sucks to be down, but posting multiple times doesn't get you help any faster. Do make your own topic unless you are using the exact same version of WordPress on the same physical server hosted by the same hosts with the same plugins, theme and configurations as the original poster. You may find it weird, but it will be easier for us to help you specifically if you have your own topic. Do mark your topic as resolved when it's fixed so we know not to come looking there anymore. Do remember you're not alone. Also keep in mind that not liking the direction of WordPress's design is a not a bug. If you don't like a feature, please don't make a series of posts complaining about it. Look and see if someone already did, and post there, or consider joining the process earlier on (like in Beta or even test via SVN). What you're seeing today is the result of thousands of hours of work and testing, and unless something is outright broken
