Hi dear friend..... First of all make sure that the Printer spooler enabled or not ... that is press windows key+r and type services.msc and press ENTER Key then find and double click on PRINT SPOOLER option then check the Service Status.......if it is stopped simply click the START button ... and also select the START UP TYPE as Automatic. then finally click the OK button and if still the problem persists.........simply re-install the PRINTER Drivers again after that your issue will be fixed ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!! When checking printer status (Printer Properties - Maintenance Menu) it shows the "Collecting Printer Status" Dialog and stays there forever. Printing doesnt work either. In the queue it says "Error sending command". I googled but no luck.Any advice is very much appreciated.Thanksdt OakIris Ars Praetorian Registered: Feb 6, 2001Posts: 444 Posted: Thu Jan 17, 2008 9:44 pm Forgive me if you have already tried this, but the first steps I would try is going to the control panel to remove any associated software that you installed with the printer, and then delete the printer itself from the control panel. Then go through the "add printer" steps to add the Canon printer to your system to see if this resets everything so that the printer begins to work again.Holly hux "Wonder en is gheen wonder" Ars Legatus Legionis Tribus: The lands of milk and curry (.uk) + milk and shooty (.us) Registered: Nov 2, 2000Posts: 47857 Posted: Sat Jan 19, 2008 4:33 am ^^^Before even going that far, the very first thing I'd do is turn off the the printer and the PC, unplug the USB cord, plug it back in, turn everything on and try again. If that doesn't work, confirm the USB port works fine with another device. If it does, swap out the printer USB cord with a different one and try that.Only then do you need to start messing with drivers, etc. d2tbydt2 Wise, Aged Ars Veteran Tribus: US Registered: Dec 25, 2007Posts: 111 Posted: Sat Jan 19, 2008 1:19 pm Thanks Guys, it helped. This is what I did:1. Uninstalled printer.2. Changed the USB and port connection. Got the printer to work.3. When I reconnected the original cable (and original port) the printer worked!!!Thanks.dt OakIris Ars Praetorian Registered: Feb 6, 2001Posts: 444 Posted: Mon Jan 21, 2008
