Note the error - that's the lowest level ptp/mtp call that's made to try and get every single object handle from the device - and it's failing. And it consistently fails on these modern Android devices. And that's the call that Get_Filelisting makes. As we discussed in your other thread, the call just doesn't work reliably, or at all, on these devices. There's certainly a valid discussion about whether it's an intrinsic problem with mtp, or an implementation issue in Android, or a device resource constraint, but the punch line is unchanged. See this earlier discussion between the author of go-mtpfs and Linus. You should point any rhythmbox developers to it as well: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=CAKnu2Mrp4s6hTXr%3DNp1VYN9sFmWbb6NV2GeTawSm2rsSu002GA%40mail.gmail.com&forum_name=libmtp-disc

For each mp3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/544880 it would give the error and after about 5 it crashed. Perhaps transferring to an iphone isn't supported, I just assumed it was because the iphone showed up in rhythmbox.
