post has been reported. I have tried to find an answer for this problem, and although I found similar questions and suggested answers

in different groups (even from the Microsoft Office site), I don't have a solution yet. Here is my best shot at describing the problem: I use Outlook 2007 and Vista. The To-do bar does not show the

tasks portion, only an error message in its place: "The operation failed. An object could not be found". This has been the case for a while, no matter if I restart the program or the computer. The To-do bar shows the calendar and appointments, which I like, but the problem is with the tasks. Also, when I go to the Calendar folder, the "daily task list" (which I have checked to show in the view options) rss feed error in outlook 2010 does not show, and instead the same error message appears. Otherwise email, calendar, contacts and notes work fine. When I go to the Tasks folder, on the panel to the left, under "My Tasks" I see two groups: "To-do list" and "Tasks". Every time I go to the Tasks folder the program goes by default to the "To-do list" group, and I don't see any item, only an error message that says "Cannot display the folder". When I click on the next group "Tasks", then all tasks that I have show up, but still they do not show in the To-do bar or in the Calendar view. I found in the Microsoft side a suggested "workaround" to right-click the personal folder, click Properties, click to select the Display reminders and tasks from this folder in the To-Do Bar check box, and then click OK. I found that this check box was already checked, therefore it did not help my case. Here is another piece in case it helps in diagnosing the problem--I do not know whether this is something important or not: When trying to figure out a way to solve the problem I found in the Tasks folder, on the left panel under 'All task items" (a search tool) that when I click on the arrow head next to it, it lists "pers

reported error (0x8004010F) : ‘The operation failed. An object cannot be found.' I found a lot of suggestions stating that you need to recreate the Outlook profile. I am sure that works, but https://greatit.wordpress.com/2009/08/24/outlook-2007-task-rss-feeds-reported-error-0x8004010f/ for sophisticated setups this can be quite a hassle. This solution worked for http://www.slipstick.com/problems/error-with-the-to-do-bars-task-list/ me: http://www.thecodecage.com/forumz/outlook-functions/6274-outlook-2007-rss-feeds-not-updating-error-0x8004010f.html Basically just go to Tools / Account Settings/ RSS Feeds. Click each Feed, Click :"Change", then click "Change Folder'. No reason to change anything, just hit OK. Hit Send/Receive after this. Like this:Like Loading... Comment by Ady Balch -- December 13, 2012 @ 4:12 pm Reply Woo-hoo. That will speed up Outlook. If you want to remove the RSS subscriptions from Outlook, you may wish to do this following. Mass Remove Feed Subscriptions from Outlook: 1. Click Tools menu and then Options again. 2. Select the poorly named Mail Setup tab 3. Click the Data Files button 4. Click the RSS Feeds tab 5. Click the first feed and scroll down to the bottom of the feed list 6. Hold the SHIFT key and click the last feed. All feeds shou
/ Problems / Error with the To-Do Bar's Task list Last reviewed on April 7, 2016 —13 Comments We're seeing a rash of errors with the To-Do Bar lately. This following message appears at the bottom, where the Task List is: "The operation failed. An object could not be found." Also, in the To-Do List in the Tasks module, the error message is "Cannot display the folder." Depending on the cause, it may be easily fixed by closing Outlook and reopening it using the /resettodobar switch then restart Outlook. When it's caused by a corrupted profile (often due to using Easy Transfer or copying and pasting a *.pst file over the current *.pst file), check for duplicate *.pst files in your profile and delete the extras. If this doesn't help, you'll need to make a new profile. How to use the /resettodobar switch Close Outlook. At the Start search field on Vista or Windows7 Start menu or in the Start menu, Run command (Windows key + R), type outlook.exe /resettodobar Then press Enter (or OK) to restart Outlook. Note: Make sure there is a space between the words. Delete duplicate *.pst files Close Outlook Go to Control Panel, Mail, Data Files. This will open the Account settings dialog to the Data Files tab. (Search for Mail after opening the Control panel, if its not visible). Do you have 2 identical *.pst files listed? If so, select one of them and click Remove then re-open Outlook. Tip: While this procedure will not delete your *.pst file from the hard drive, if you don't have a backup of your *.pst, now is a good time to make one. Before removing the duplicated listing, select the *.pst file and click the Open Folder Location button. This opens Windows Explorer to the location where the *.pst file is. Make a copy of the *.pst.
