I looked through all the settings in the hotmail/msn account and found something called 2 step verification was active on the account. I don't recall activating it but I deactivated it and everything works fine now. I could login to Windows Messenger (the old version of MSN), but not newer versions of Messenger. I can log into Hotmail.com without any problems. I doubt that the problem lies in my computer, 'cause I tried several other computers. It works randomly, but not very often. I thought it might have something to do sign in with the network I'm in. Right now I'm at school, and I'd understand it if they were blocking MSN - but they're not! Some of my friends have the same problem, while others can sign in anywhere, anytime, with any version of MSN. So I decided to go ahead and make myself a new address. It seemed to work. I could log in, and everything was fine. I started adding some of my old contacts, and things were msn log in still alright. Then I decided to import the entire contact-list from my old MSN account. I did. After doing that, I started getting the same error message again after a while. It says "Login failed due to the service being temporary unavailable. Try again later", roughly translated. Notice that this did not happen immediately after importing my contacts. It happened around the fourth or fifth time logging in after importing them. I can still login to Windows Messenger, but I do of course prefer newer versions. Anyone else experiencing this? Got any idea as to why this happens and how I can fix it? 0 I retired [emailprotected]
