happens at home, at work, when I was in a different state. Also the recipient of the message or it's size does not seem to matter. It does not happen all the time. The only way I have found htc sms failure to get them to send is to send them while it is still processing (little blue circle chasing itself) restart the phone. When it restarts is asks if I want to send the messages when I have digital service and will send then immediately. I have downloaded the most recent version of Handcent and have even reverted to using the message service pre-loaded to the phone. I am at my wits end. First, please check your contacts, and be sure you have the area code programmed in to your phone, but not the "1" at the start of the number. I recommend power cycling your phone off and on for 1-2 minutes and updating your phone to the network (PRL update). To update the PRL: Power on the phone within the Verizon Wireless coverage area. Dial *228 then press SEND (this call is airtime free and may take up to 2 minutes). When prompted, press 2 for the option to update the PRL. Once completed, a confirmation message will appear to informing that the phone has been re-programmed with the new PRL.

I would prefer not to have to demonstrate the problem, as it would potentially involve showing the Verizon associate the content of my text messages, which is unfortunately out of the question at the moment. It's either business or personal, all quite legal, just so we're clear... Again, as of today, I am unable to send text messages at all.
