a couple months and all of a sudden it won't run any more. When I click on it it says: Your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly. To correct these settings, run setup again http://www.laptopgpsworld.com/1714-streets-trips-error-registry-settings-not-copied-correctly for this application from the location where you originally installed it. I did this and http://www.laptopgpsworld.com/1714-streets-trips-error-registry-settings-not-copied-correctly-p3 got the same reply so I decided to uninstall and reinstall but keep getting the same reply when I try to run it. Reinstalling doesn't fix the registry. Any ideas as to what to look for and what to do to in the registry to fix this? Brian Alaskanyukon If you use Vista go to Windows Security Center and turn streets and off "User Account Control". Streets will run again, you don't need to reinstall it! bdobson Thanks!! Alaskanyukon your suggestion worked. Brian badaldean Every time I try to open Microsoft Street and Trips 2009 it displays an error of: Your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly. to correct these settings, run setup again for this application from the location where you originally installed it. Can someone please help me with this, I have streets and trips tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times and it still will not work. My O.S. is Vista Home and I am the administrator for that matter only user. P.S. Hopefully thank you to anyone who helps in advance. tcassidy Did you try as the error message suggested. Run setup again rather than uninstalling and reinstalling. It sounds like it is installed in a location other than the standard one. Terry badaldean Yes, I have tried that to but it still does not work I have also tried creating another user account on my computer like a web site suggested still same error pops up. Marvin Hlavac Badaldean, I moved your and Terry's posts to this related discussion thread. Re-read the earlier made suggestion(s) for a possible solution. badaldean Thank you Marvin that helped the user control was the problem everything seems to be working fine now. superbike999 Alaskanyukon Many thanks for your solution. This also works with Windows 7 and Autoroute 2006. I have been trying to find a solution to this problem for 2 weeks. The Microsoft "solution" does not seem to work. If you uninstall the program as they advise and do a clean boot, "Windows Installer" will not load to reinstall the program. Thanks once again Dave in the UK Wayneey MS Streets & Trips 2009 has exhibited the same p
run well. I went on vacation and shut down my computer for 13 days and when I returned my Microsoft Streets & Trips 2010 says "Your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly. To correct these settings, Run Set-Up again for this application from the location where you originally installed it". Why, after it worked for 4 months does it have registry problems? I uninstalled and reinstalled and even downloaded the 2011 version only to get the same Error - HELP Marvin Hlavac Hi Pandrz, and welcome to the forum. I moved your post to this related discussion thread. See if you can solve the issue by trying the suggested idea(s) on the preceding pages. dbrah I have Streets and Trips 2011 and have been using for almost a year without any problems until about a couple of weeks ago. It seems every time Windows does an update Streets and Trips won't load. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I have had to restore my computer I think 4 times now, delete and reinstall Streets and Trips to get to work. This happened again, but I do not want to restore due to other work I do not want undone... not to mention shouldn't have to keep doing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Need for work and going nuts over this. Marvin Hlavac Hi Dbrah, and welcome to the forum. When you say the program "won't load", are you refering to the issue discussed here, which is the following error message: Your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly. To correct these settings, run setup again for this application from the location where you originally installed it. or, are you experiencing other issue which is preventing S&T from starting? Windows 7 64-bit had a fix released which addressed an S&T start up issue, but it didn't relate to the above registry error.
