(not Norton Antivirus) I am getting this error when trying to send email messages with attachments. !Symantec Email proxy: Your email message to [email address of recipient] with the subject [email subject] was unable to be sent because the connection to you mail server was interupted. Please open your email client (Outlook 2000) and re-send the message from https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/23230354/Symantec-Email-Proxy-Error-1003-9-Outgoing-mail-takes-to-long-to-scan-and-times-out.html the sent messages folder. 1003,9 On the server in System Console under client auto-protect options there is no check to enable any kind of email scan. I cannot find any other places that allow me to configure email scanning. On the client computer there are no options in Antivirus to disable email scanning as well. ( Yes I did have all admin rights)Most of the related posts do not provide an answer to this problem. How can I get Symantec Antivirus to stop scanning email messages? If you go to (outlook 2000 ) Tools->Options->Other tab-> advanced options under mail settings->pluggin manager You are able to deselect Symantec's Outlook Plugin.
