The memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program When I click OK IE closes. I have reinstalled IE8 without any luck. Does anyone know how to fix this issue so I can use IE again? I've read a few other posts regarding this issue, however I didn't want to do anything that might further cause harm. Any help in regards to this issue would be greatly appreciated. Whenever I open IE8 for the first time after turning on my computer, I get the following popup error message: SysFader: iexplore.exe Application Error The exception illegal instruction An attempt was made to execute an illegal instruction. (0Xc000001d) occurred in the application at location exe application error 0x6609a929 Click on OK to terminate the program Click on Cancel to debug the program And then the 2 buttons. I clicked on cancel and nothing happens, the problem is still there. Any Idea on what is going on? Windows XP fully patched.
