that the PS3 is much better for this. I figured if nothing else, it'd be a lot quieter. WMP11, however, never shows that the PS3 is available to share media with. When I do a search for media servers, the PS3 https://forum.quartertothree.com/t/streaming-to-my-ps3/54710 doesn't detect my PC. So I go ahead and DL TVersity. After I set it up, the PS3 does detect it as a media server, however when I go to click on it it says 'There are no titles.' Every tutorial I've looked https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/76400/ps3-shows-there-are-no-tracks up seems to indicate that this is something that never happens and I'm clearly imagining things. Has anyone ever experienced these issues? I'm pretty much ready to abandon this and either use my 360 (works sixty percent of the time every time) or just there are use a damn thumb drive. Marcus 2009-09-10 20:47:29 UTC #2 I'm trying to think what you are doing wrong but I do know I've had this problem before. I think it has something to do with Tversity rebuilding the file list then restarting it or some shit then restarting the ps3 or something or another. I used to use TVersity and it worked great but at the moment I just use a 1TB WD external HD hooked up to the usb port which works nearly as well. The there are no one thing I do miss from TVsersity is the transcoding but other then that I almost like using the drive better. I also seem to recall there was a way to do it from a share but I can't seem to recall that directly. TVersity should be working for you and I think it has something to do with it building its master file list or something. malkav11 2009-09-10 21:02:09 UTC #3 I've had nothing but issues trying to get WMP11 to stream to -anything- properly. It certainly won't do it with my 360. Secondly, on TVersity - where are you interacting with it, and what are you trying to stream? The PS3 places each type of media in its own little ghetto, and if you, say, try to access music from the video dropdown tab it will show nothing. If that's not it (and it probably isn't), then I have no idea. Perhaps you could try PS3 Media Server, which is free and specifically designed for PS3 streaming. It works pretty well for me. Grabbed it, it worked perfect, first time, no bullshit. Things are kind of a stuttery mess for the first 20 seconds while it buffers, then they run great. Simple as could be. Thank you very much. russellmz00 2009-09-10 21:42:53 UTC #5 i guess i'm too late, but did you try this how to? http://boardsus.playst

PS3 shows 'There are no tracks" Spunkymanker Posts: 3Members, Plex Pass August 2013 edited August 2013 in Other Third-Party Clients & Tools I have my plex server working for the most part. My google TV device streams just fine with the plex client. My Ps3 however, picks up the plex DLNA server, but no matter where I look in the videos section, it just says "There are no tracks". All folders are listed fine, and I can drill down multiple levels. Unfortunately, there are no media files in any folder. Folders with no subdirectories just say "There are no tracks". Any ideas? Edit - Attached section from dlna server logfile.
