Access 2007 Runtime Error 91
3044) I have a large, old application to handle biological recording which I've just moved from an old XP machine to Windows 7. The path on the new machine is different to access 2007 runtime error 2501 the path on the old machine. The application is split into data and application parts, so the application contains a variable (strPath) which points to the data file. I've changed this to agree with the new installation and the Switchboard code runs correctly and opens the data file. The Switchboard has a button to open a form to add a new record (button code is access 2007 runtime error 3349 below) which, when clicked, gives the 'Invalid path' error on the DoCmd line in bold Private Sub cmdNewRecord_Click() 'On Error GoTo Err_cmdNewRecord_Click Dim stDocName As String stDocName = "NewRecord" DoCmd.OpenForm stDocName Exit_cmdNewRecord_Click: Exit Sub Err_cmdNewRecord_Click: MsgBox Err.Description Resume Exit_cmdNewRecord_Click End Sub The application file opens the Access objects and linked tables, and runs the start up code and displays the Switchboard OK, so I don't see why I'm getting this error. The form NewRecord is, of course, in the same app.mdb file as the switchboard. I'm stuck with what appears to be a simple error, any suggestions gratefully received. Have you tried opening the NewRecord form directly - i.e. not from the switchboard - if so, does it open OK If you get the error (and I guess even if your don't) have you looked at any code

Access 2007 Database Split - User access issues P: 8 mrzebo1 I have https://bytes.com/topic/access/answers/881116-access-2007-database-split-user-access-issues created an Access 2007 database that will be used by about 200 users. The front end will reside on the users desktop and the back end will be on a network folder. I used the database splitter to split http://www.accessforums.net/import-export-data/importing-urls-excel-21195.html the database and put the backend on the network drive. I email the frontend to a few users to test and some of them had access issues. Users recieved error code 3044 stating that the path is not valid. time error I think it has something to do with Trust Center. Can anybody suggest what might be happening. It works for me but I have trust center Macro Setting set to Enable all macros. Any help would be appreciated. We can't tell you as you don't even include it in access 2007 runtime the question. Whatever it indicates is not valid, check out. Worry about less obvious possibilities when the obvious ones have been eliminated. Feb 5 '10 #2 reply P: 8 mrzebo1 Not sure what you mean. The simple answer would be that the path to my backend database is incorrect but I used the database splitter utility and the path is correct. The error being throw back is the following 3044:S..... is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly. The app works for me but not for some of my users. Feb 5 '10 #3 reply Expert Mod 100+ P: 2,314 TheSmileyCoder Do they have their networks drives mapped to the same letters as you do? I worked once for a client where every user manually had to map their network drives, and assign letters for em......That was a mess. Feb 5 '10 #4 reply P: 8 mrzebo1 Unfortunatlly the drives are mapped to the same letter but I'll look out for that in the future. Feb 5 '10 #5 reply Expert Mod 100+ P: 2,314 TheSmileyCoder Does it work for some users(besides yourself)? If your at the failing users computer, and navigate via explorer, can you "find" the backend database? Do you have any code in your DB where you use path information? Feb 5 '10 #6 reply P: 8 mrzebo1 It does work for anothe
