with every try being a success. So now that I am trying to back up one of my movies I can't rip it in the first place. It goes to about 50% then generates an error saying it can't read a certain sector. By the way I did check the surface, it's clear as a mirror. Here is the log file: I 22:44:57 Operation Started! Would vstrip be worth a try, not to say that decrypter is bad (it is actually pretty good), just can't seem to read this disc. Thanks LIGHTNING UK!5th March 2005, 14:18I've seen this posted over various forums so you've probably already got your answer. There was a batch of bad discs made and people couldn't rip them. It's not protection, or anything like it, they're just bad copies. Does IFO mode work? If not, I doubt PC player software would either. You could try ripping in another drive (or 10!), maybe one will work. ukb0086th March 2005, 01:59Funny, but it's true

But during the verification, however, I get the following message: I/O error! Device:[0:1:0] TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633C TF20 (D (ATAPI) ScsiStatus:0x02 Interpretation: Check condition CDB: 28 00 00 05 6A B6 00 00 01 00 Interpretation: Read(10) - Sector: 354998 Sense Area : 70 00 03 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 11 05 00 00 00 00 Interpretation : L-EC Uncorrectable error this problem happens at 17% through the verification, the iso has 4 games in it, and its size is 4.2 Gb while my DVD-R has 4.8Gb, so enough space. The same problem happened when I tried burning a single game. I did a little research and some threads said that it could be the disc's quality, but its a brand new one and I've tried on not only one of them, the brand is memorex. I also tried verifying with all applications closed, but nothing changed :S Here is my log from imgburn: I 12:01:09 Link Size: Auto I 12:01:09 Lock Volume: Yes I 12:01:09 Test Mode: No I 12:01:09 OPC: No I 12:01:09 BURN-Proof: Disabled I 12:01:11 Write Speed Successfully Set! - Effective: 4 155 KB/s (3x) I 12:01:12 Filling Buffer...
