Wad Manager 1.8 English
Firstly i am running 3.3 Firmware with a D2SUN v2.1 Mod Chip - which is working fine. I have homebrew multi-mod-manager channel installed. I also installed WAD Manager (Latest Version) on ran the application. However when i try and load a WAD to install a get an error of "Ret = -1 ". Then the Wii https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdwg5XIUAX4 re-starts itself. I then installed previous versions of WAD Manager and all come up with the same error. I have tried two different SD Cards, and still the same error. The SD Card is set as follows: Root - wadmanager/wadmanager files Root - wad/title1.wad Root - wad/title2.wad I also installed Wad Installer 2.1 and ran the twlight hack. However i get an error of "Ret = 2" doing that, http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/wad-manager-install-error-s.663102/ and the Wii Restarted. I can only assume its do with a cIOS, but i have never installed custom files e.t.c, and im not sure how this works. Therefore does anyone have a possible solution i can try? Re-formatted the Wii System Memory including Gamesaves & Channels 2. Re-installed Homebrew Channel 3. Obtained new WADs. 4. Re-copied 1.21 Wad Manager & New wads to (2) SD Card(s) 5. Run Homebrew Channel and again the same error - "Ret = -1" - Click A to Re-boot Wii. So its the same error. Therefore available space and bad Wads, are now ruled out. Is there another solution? It is possibly the whole cIOS? envy1985, Oct 12, 2008 #3 wi

The first step you need to do is to make sure that you have formatted your SD card to FAT. You can do this by simply going to my computer, right clicking what drive letter it is and installing wad manager hit format. 2. Then make a folder in the root of your sd card called "apps", NOT app, NOT Apps, Just plain old "apps". 3. Then go back to the root of your sd card and make a folder called "wad", NOT wads, NOT Wad. Just plain old "wad". 4. Download these three apps: Anytitle deleter http://wiibrew.org/w/images/8/8c/AnyTit ... er_HBC.zip Wad Manager 1.5 http://teknoconsolas.tv/wanin/WAD-Manager_v1.5.zip cIOSrev14 installer http://teknoconsolas.tv/wanin/cIOS38_re ... taller.zip NOTE* Make sure that there is a boot.dol in each folder. If it is called something like wadmanager.dol, rename it to boot.dol 5. In the apps folder put wad manager v1.5 The "path" to wad manager should look something like F:>apps>wadmanager>boot.dol Now put the anytitle deleter app in the apps folder. The "path" to anytitle deleter should look something like F:apps>anytitledeleter>boot.dol Next put the cIOSrev 14 installer app in the apps folder. The "path" to anytitle deleter should look something like F:apps>CiosInstaller>boot.dol 6. Put all the wad files you want to install in the "wad" folder FIXING 1.Fire up the homebrew channel and there should be three apps, select anytitle deleter. 2. After anytitle deleter has loaded select system titles (it should be the first option.) Somewhere

LinkID: 20745+0 Red Cheep-cheep Karma: 213 Posts: 169/218 Since: 10-14-11 I want to install a wad file on my Wii. I have the homebrew channel installed so I think my Wii is ready to install wad files. I have looked up some information about wad files and how they work but there are still a couple of things I am not sure about. - How safe are wads? I don't wanna install one and end up breaking my Wii. - Also, what is all this IOS stuff about? I know what an IOS is but how does this work when installing a wad? Thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: I figured it out and got it working. I used Pimp My Wii to install the wad and it installed fine and I selected IOS 58 when installing. Maybe I was choosing the wrong IOS because I was selecting IOS 36 and IOS 249 on Wad Manager and Multi Mod Manager and I was getting that 2011 error. It probably would have worked on Multi Mod Manager and Wad Manager too if I selected IOS 58. (Nope doesn't work , kind of weird because I selected the same IOS) Also, I installed the wad WITHOUT installing a cIOS so I don't see why one is needed. Anyways , thanks alot for the help --------------------------------------------------------------- NSMBHD Sponsored ads Register or login to hide ads Posts: ∞/∞ Since: Jun 26th 2011 gridatttack Posted on 01-07-13, 12:20 am (rev. 1 by gridatttack on 01-07-13, 12:22 am) Hi. LinkID: 20746+0 Sledge BrotherMr. Milestone Karma: 2664 Posts: 1081/1895 Since: 06-28-11 You need a cIOS to install wads, since it will access your storage drive. And you will need wad manager to install/uninstall them. Also, if you dont want to get a banner brick, install bootmii as boot2 and make a NAND backup. After that, you dont have to worry about bricking your wii, since bootmii as boot2 can be used to restore your working NAND backup. Or only install wads form known sources and dont go installing random wads you find, and you will be fine. __
