Frozen Throne Was Unable To Detect A Disc In Your Cd-rom Drive
I get this error: CD-ROM drive error: Please verify that your Frozen Throne disc is in your CD-ROM drive, then click on 'Retry'. If I try to run it under my mac, it runs just fine! I'm sure that the CD-ROM
Warcraft 3 No Cd Error Fix
is in the drive, because my mac can run it just fine, and I'm sure that Windows under Parallels can run CD's, because when I insert the CD into the drive, under Windows in Parallels, the opening screen for the CD appears asking me whether I'd like to Play Warcraft 3, View Read-me, Options, or Exit Installer, so I'm sure there is no problem reading the CD's, but when I click Play Warcraft 3, that's when the message box with the error warcraft iii was unable to detect a disc in your cd-rom drive comes up. Fromethius, Feb 1, 2008 #1 Alicia Parallels Team Messages: 693 Hello, the point is that the program that verifies if your CD is the original one has some issues with virtualization technology. In a different words, the CD-ROM sees the disk but the program can't see that it is original. Unfortunately, it is the way it works. Please, contact Blizzard support. Alicia, Feb 4, 2008 #2 Fromethius Messages: 2 Thanks for your reply! I guess I was ill-informed by the Parallels features page because it notes that you can play Warcraft 3 on it. I guess they meant that you can install it just fine but not play it? http://www.parallels.com/en/products/desktop/features/3d/ Fromethius, Feb 4, 2008 #3 bi11 Messages: 115 Maybe they used a nocd crack to run the app with out a cd or dvd in the drive However, you can install the mac version on your system. Doesn't your install disk have the mac version? Mine does. bi11, Feb 5, 2008 #4 Alicia Parallels Team Messages: 693 Hello, the point is that technologically this game is supported and can be played from the Parallels VM, but there are license policy issues. If you are a owner of a legal game cd, please, contact Blizzard support and ask if you can use the game without cd protection. Alicia, Feb 11, 2008 #5 DavidI Messages: 1 Not true. I http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?/topic/17680-unrecovered-read-error/ have used the ultimate boot cd before, but now I have a problem and don't know what part of the cd I should use. I am using UBCD411.iso burned to a cd. the problem is: HP warcraft 3 laptop with windows XP Pro. when you boot the laptop it comes up with "a disk read error occured" I have used the HDD to boot another laptop so I know it is not the disk. someone said that the ubcd had a program that could "fix" the hdd controller on the Motherboard. I could not find it. can someone lead the poor old new guy to the right place? thanks. inetbogey. Since it IS saying "a disk read error occured", remove all cd/usb/hdd's from the system and try "booting" should say something like "no boot media found, please press something to restart/retry" if it does then try putting the HD into the system and see if the "disk read error" comes up again... if it does, then we know its the HD, try clearing your bios settings to factory defaults and trying again
