Now then, I did go to the support.nintendo.com site and it tells me stuff about a router...however, I cannot access the router where I live. You see...I live in an apartment and so I am not allowed to access the router itself to fix things (like do what it says in the support site). Weird thing is that the first day I moved here, the wifi was working just fine and now all of a sudden it isn't working at all. The internet here is open access so I didn't have to enter any keys to access it and it works just fine on my computer. What should/can I do? try to connect my wii to the net? Discussion in 'Nintendo Wii / Wii U' started by dizzy9980, Nov 29, 2006. dizzy9980 Member Joined: Nov 29, 2006 Messages: 1 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 11 Ok guys I'm using a wifi max to connect my wii wirelessly. It connected and download some update. After it update it said something about going to the wii shop. When I chose yes, it went to go to the wii shop and it kept saying error 52031. I disconnected my wii and tried all over again. Now every time I try to go online with the wii i just keep getting the same error 52031 over and over again. Does anyone know how to fix this? dizzy9980, Nov 29, 2006 #1 csm11 Member Joined: Sep 1, 2006 Messages: 50 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 16 This helped for me, but might not be the answer. I had to switch my router channel from its default channel of 6 to channel 1. Before I switched, I was getting similar issues like you where I could update, but not connect to the wii shop. After I changed my channel on the router, everything is perfect. Just a thought. csm11, Nov 29, 2006 #2 CrisKahn2 Regular member Joined: Dec 14, 2005 Messages: 706 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 26 I had that problem for a while...but when i updated my router's firmware and reset it everything worked fine. It happened a fair bit with the initial updates(like.. maybe 1.5%, tops). Just go to the Nintendo website and look around on there. They're offering a free replacement if you have a bricked Wii. silver95, Nov 29, 2006 #4 tabletpc Guest it isn't bricked the wii only connects using a wireless router wifimax doesn't work worth garbage it eaither connects or fails connection tabletpc, Nov 30, 2006 #5 lan
