I hooked up my network and it was running fine. When I went to connect the Wii to my new connection I found that it had a firewall issue. I spent hours and hours over two days trying to solve wii error the problem. I even went and google searched an answer and found none helpful. I accidently one evening erased by DNS server under my TCP/IP network connections. The next day after fixing the server problem I realized when looking at the Wii connection settings that I had selected or by default had the DNS set on auto obtain. My ISP, internet service provider, does not use auto obtain. The solution is to manually input your preffered and alternate DNS server address. wii error code I again cannot guarantee this will fix your problem, but it did for me. For the username leave blank and for the password enter "admin". . Depending on the security mode, if you're on WEP, look at your default transmit key and what number you've selected. If you selected 1, look beside Key 1. The number/word you entered there is your password. If you put your default transmit key as 2, look beside key 2 for your password and so forth. Try this and it should work" So basically, type in 192.168.1.1 in your adress bar, type in admin as your password. Go to Internet settings on your Wii and make sure everything is the same for wireless connection. Type in your SSID, also. Next on the computer, click on WEP settings.
