Posted 31 January 2009 - 12:49 AM It is either a bad AV cable, a bad scaler chip, or a GPU error. Try the AV cable, then if you want to, open the console (Make SURE it's out of warranty), and press on the scaler chip whilst booting it up. If it works, Get your pennies . If not, follow one of thems good tutorials on Heat gun solder reflow. Back to top #4 CHLSE CHLSE X-S Senior Member Members 211 posts Xbox Version:unk 360 version:unknown Posted 31 January 2009 - 11:29 AM you have the reflow the connections between the GPU and the ANA chip, sometimes a x-clamp fix is already enough but not always., for best results you do a reflow top and bottom of the board. this will give the best long term results! then apply a x-clamp fix! en dont screw back the little screw connecting the mobo to the case! this will prevent the board from flexing downwards and built up a constant level of stress, wich will result in rrod or e74 again, or follow whilhelm tut and sand down some spots in the metal case to make it al even. i just never screw the smal tx10's back, my own console is already working almost 1.5 year after rrod and it never returned as there has a lot of gaming been done on that console!
