absolutely fine, Gmail IMAP / SMTP account on MS Outlook 2010 started to misbehave. It was still receiving emails fine, but was randomly failing to send anything http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_outlook-mso_winother/sending-reported-error-0x800ccc13-cannnot-connect/eda37e24-52a0-4665-8606-41482eade98a over SMTP. Emails would get stuck on Outbox and MS Outlook would report following error: Outlook Send/Receive ProgressSending reported error (0x800CCC13): Cannot connect to the network. Verify your network connection or modem. The issue was not affecting MS Exchange 2010 accounts attached to the same Outlook profile. First I tried few obvious things: checking http://www.mysysadmintips.com/windows/clients/456-gmail-and-ms-outlook-error-0x800ccc13-cannot-connect-to-the-network that it's not a firewall or network issue, re-creating Outlook profile, load Outlook with all plugins disabled, etc. Unfortunately nothing helped. Emails would still randomly get stuck in the Outbox with the same error. After some more searching and testing I narrowed down the issue to the fact that the same Outlook profile contained MS Exchange account in Online mode (connected to MS Exchange 2010 SP2). I'm not entirely sure what exactly causes this, but it seems that changing Exchange account to work in Cashed Exchange mode resolves the issue. As I didn't have particular reason to keep this account in Online mode, this was an acceptable workaround. Update Somehow I came across Microsoft KB article 2816934. It seems that the issue is nothing more than MS Exchange 2010 bug. I can confirm that updating MS Exchange 2010 to SP3 (update roll-up 3) resolved the issue completely. error Ox800CCC13Slipstick SystemsHome / Outlook / Outlook can't send mail in Windows 10: error Ox800CCC13 Last reviewed on October 31, 2015 —265 Comments We're seeing a few errors from Outlook users after upgrading to Windows 10, specifically a message reporting problems sending messages. The affected users receive error 0x800CCC13. 'Task 'email address alias@domain.com- Sending' Cannot connect to the network. Verify your network connection or modem.' Microsoft is looking into it, but one fix we know works is to open a command prompt as an administrator and run sfc /scannow. Reinstalling or repairing the Office install, making new profiles and other common troubleshooting steps will not fix this issue. To use the System File Checker right click on the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin). (You'll need to click Yes to allow it to make changes to the computer.) When the Command Prompt appears, type (or paste) sfc /scannow then hit Enter (there is a space between sfc and /). Once System File Checker is finished, reboot the computer. Users are reporting that System File Checker reports corruption in mlang.dlI.Mui and Windows.Media.Speech.UXRes.dll.mui. SFC replaces the files and after a reboot, Outlook works again.
