Workaround Use the Windows System File Checker to repair corrupted files Close Outlook. Right click the Start button in Windows and choose: Command Prompt (Admin). If you don’t see that option, instead choose: Windows PowerShell (Admin). In the Command Prompt window type: sfc /scannow (note the space in the command). Wait until the process completes. This usually doesn’t take longer than 20 minutes with a regular hard disk and takes much shorter when you have a fast SSD drive. Restart your computer and then open Outlook. The error I get in microsoft's outlook 2013 is 0x800CCC13 "Cannot connect to 0x800ccc13 outlook 2013 the network". After searching for a bit, people suggested that I should recreate the profile. I have tried doing that, but the problem came back to haunt be 2 days later. To verify that the problem is not on the email server's end, I recreated the specific account in another computer and I can send and receive emails normally from that one. So it must be something wrong within the specific computer / user account. Do you know anything else I should try in order to fix this ? The user profile, or the Outlook profile?... though, either way...) If you recreated the profile, and the problem came back it seems to point at a problem with the operating system. Is re-imaging the machine an option? That's probably going to be the quickest, least painful way to fix this problem. –HopelessN00b Mar 28 '14 at 1:15 Are you running outlook 2013 against exchange 2010? Do you have an attiional POP or IMAP acoount in the same outlook profile?
Error "Sending reported error (0x800CCC13) : ‘Unable to connect to the network. Check your network connection or modem" Known fix: Delete the mail account from the active profile. Re-create the mail account. That's it! I've came across this problem under Windows XP(SP3) + Outlook 2010 using POP3 account. Other possible fixes: Start the Office program in safe mode1. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then point to Microsoft Office.2. Press and hold the CTRL key, and then click the Outlook Application. If the problem does not occur in the safe mode, this issue might be related to some third-party add-ins in the Office program, we can try to disable them. Normally, you could do the following to disable the conflict add-ins in your Office program: Disable add-insa) Click File menu, click Options > Add-in, click Go button in the Manage: Com-in Add. b) Check if there are any add-ins, clear the checkbox to disable them. c) Close the Office program and restart it.d) Add one check back each time to the list of Add-In, restart the Office program, and repeat the above procedure. Once the issue reappears again, we can determine which add-in causes this problem and then disable it.
